Trump’s Executive Actions So Far

Mushroom Clouds

President Donald Trump has spent his first days using his executive authority to rewrite American policy and undo a string of decisions made by former president Barack Obama. Here’s a running list of the new president’s executive actions:

1. Providing “relief” from the Affordable Care Act (January 20)
Trump’s first executive order on Inauguration Day involved “minimizing the economic burden” of the Affordable Care Act. This order allows the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the heads of other departments and agencies to waive or delay the implementation of any ACA provisions that would impose a financial burden or any state or a regulatory burden on any individuals.

2. Freezing all regulations (January 20)
Trump froze all pending regulations until they are approved directly by his administration or by an agency led by Trump appointees. The action, given in a memorandum from White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, delays all regulations with the exception of health, safety, financial or national security matters allowed by the Office of Management and Budget director.

3. Reinstating the “Mexico City” abortion policy (January 23)16468811_1202995526422742_1546224946_n
The president reinstated the so-called “Mexico City Policy”, which blocks the use of U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund foreign non-governmental organizations that perform or promote abortions. It was established by former president Ronald Reagan and has been rescinded by Democratic presidents and reinstated by Republican presidents ever since.

4. Scrapping the Trans-Pacific Partnership (January 23)tpp
Trump’s next executive action withdrew the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which former President Barack Obama negotiated with 11 other pacific nations. The deal was never ratified by the Senate, so it had not gone into effect. Instead, the Trump administration says it plans on negotiating bilateral deals with individual nations.

5. Freezing the federal workforce (January 23)
Trump issued a presidential memorandum Tuesday that prohibits government agencies from hiring any new employees, effective as of noon on January 22. The order does not apply to military personnel and the head of any executive department may exempt positions that include national security or public safety responsibilities.

6 & 7. Advancing the Dakota Access and Keystone XL Pipelines(January 24)
Trump’s next actions encouraged the construction of two controversial pipelines, the Dakota Access Pipeline and Keystone XL Pipeline. The DAPL action instructs an expedited review and approval of the remaining construction and operation of the pipeline by the Army for Civil Works and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Keystone XL action invites TransCanada, the Canadian energy company behind the pipeline, to re-submit its application for a presidential permit to construct the pipeline. It also instructs the Secretary of State to reach a final determination within 60 days.

8. Expediting Environmental Reviews on Infrastructure Projects(January 24)
Trump issued an executive order to streamline environmental reviews of high-priority infrastructure projects. The action states that infrastructure projects in the U.S. “have been routinely and excessively delayed by agency processes and procedures.” The action instructs the Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality to create expedited procedures and deadlines for environmental reviews and approvals for high-priority infrastructure projects.

9. Promoting “Made-in-the-USA” pipelines (January 24)
This memorandum instructs the Secretary of Commerce to create a plan for pipelines created, repaired or expanded in the United States to use materials and equipment produced in the country “to the maximum extent possible.” It establishes that all steel and metal used in such pipelines be completely produced in the United States, from the initial melting stage to the application of coatings.

10. Reviewing domestic manufacturing regulation (January 24)
Trump issued an action that instructs the Secretary of Commerce to contact stakeholders to review the impact of Federal regulations on domestic manufacturing. After the review, the Secretary of Commerce is instructed to create a streamlined Federal permitting process for domestic manufacturers.

11. Increasing border security measures (January 25)
Trump signed an executive order that directed the secretary of homeland security to:

  • Begin planning, designing and constructing a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, including identify available federal funds and working with Congress for additional funding
  • Construct and operate detention facilities near the border to make adjudicate asylum claims, subject to the availability of existing funding,
  • Hire 5,000 additional Border Patrol agents, subject to the availability of existing funding,
  • End “catch and release” policy
  • Quantify all “sources of direct and indirect Federal aid or assistance to the Government of Mexico on an annual basis over the past five years”
  • Take action to empower state and local law enforcement to act as immigration officers

12. Pursuit of undocumented immigrants (January 25)
Trump signed an executive order that directed the secretary of homeland security to:

  • Prioritize certain undocumented immigrants for removal, including those with criminal convictions and those who have only been charged with a crime
  • Hire 10,000 additional immigration officers at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, subject to the availability of existing funding,
  • Prohibit federal funding, with the help of the attorney general, to “sanctuary” jurisdictions, where local officials have declined to help enforce federal immigration laws
  • Reinstate the Secure Communities program, which was terminated in 2014 and enables state and local law enforcement to effectively act as immigration agents
  • Sanction countries, with the help of the secretary of state, that refuse to accept the return of undocumented immigrants deported from the U.S.
  • Create a list, updated weekly, of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants in sanctuary jurisdictions
  • Create an “Office for Victims of Crimes Committed by Removable Aliens” to “provide proactive, timely, adequate and professional services to victims of crimes committed by removable aliens and family members of such victims”

13. Reevaluating visa and refugee programs (January 27)
Trump signed an executive order Friday evening making significant changes to the visa and refugee programs in the United States. It includes:

  • Cuts the number of refugees allowed into the United States in fiscal 2017 from 110,000 to 50,000
  • Suspends for 120 days the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, which identifies and processes refugees for resettlement in the United States
  • Suspends the entry of all “immigrants and nonimmigrants” from Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Syria for 90 days.
  • Directs the secretary of homeland security, the director of national intelligence and secretary of state to put together a list of countries that do not provide adequate information to vet potential entry of foreign nationals into the United States. Foreign nationals from those countries will be banned from entering the United States.
  • Directs the secretary of state, the secretary of homeland security, the director of national intelligence, and the director of the FBI to implement uniform screening standards for all immigration programs
  • Directs the secretary of homeland security, upon the resumption of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, to “prioritize refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality.”
  • Directs the secretary of homeland security to implement a biometric entry-exit tracking system
  • Grants state and local jurisdictions, whenever possible a “role in the process of determining the placement or settlement” of refugees
  • Suspend the Visa Interview Waiver Program, which allows certain people renewing their visas to skip an in-person interview
  • Directs the secretary of state to expand the Consular Fellows Program

14. Strengthening the military (January 27)
The president on Friday issued a presidential memorandum directing the secretary of defense, James Mattis, to conduct a review on the military’s readiness in the next 30 days and develop a budget for fiscal 2018 capable of improving the “readiness conditions.” He also directed Mattis to complete a National Defense Strategy and to review the country’s nuclear capabilities and missile-defense capabilities

15. Reorganizing the National Security Council (January 28)
Trump signed a memorandum Saturday that reorganized the National Security Council, with the goal of making it more digitally-focused, as POLITICO previously reported. Part of the order allows some of the president’s staff, including chief of staff Reince Priebus and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, to attend any NSC meeting, and widens the ability of appointees close to Trump to attend NSC meetings.

16. Implementing a lobbying ban (January 28)
This executive order bars “every executive appointee in every executive agency” from engaging in “lobbying activities with respect to that agency” for five years after leaving the agency. It also bars them permanently from lobbying for any foreign government or political party.

17. Defeating ISIS (January 28)
This memorandum instructs Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to create a plan to defeat ISIS and submit it to the president within 30 days. The plan must include a comprehensive strategy for defeating ISIS, changes to the rules of engagement, strategies to de-legitimize “radical Islamist ideology,” a plan for cutting off ISIS’ financial support and identification of new partners for the fight against the terrorist organization.

18. Reducing regulations (January 30)
This executive order requires any executive department or agency that proposes a new regulation to identify two regulations to be repealed. For fiscal 2017, it instructs that the total incremental cost of all new regulations and repealed regulations be no greater than zero. For fiscal 2018, the director of the Office of Management and Budget is required to issue for each agency a maximum total cost of all new regulations and repealed regulations for the fiscal year. No agency is allowed to issue a regulation whose costs exceed that maximum, “unless required by law or approved in writing by the Director.”

19. Regulating the financial system (February 3)
This executive order lays out a series of principles for regulating the financial system including promoting U.S. corporations’ ability to compete with international companies; to foster economic growth, prevent taxpayer-funded bailouts; and to make regulation efficient. It also instructs the secretary of the treasury to consult with the heads of the member agencies of the Financial Stability Oversight Council and report to the president within 120 days on how current laws and regulations promote those principles.

20. Rethinking Obama’s fiduciary standard (February 3)
This memorandum instructs the department of labor to review the Obama administration’s “Fiduciary Rule,” which required financial advisers to serve the best interests of their clients.

21. Preventing violence against the police (February 9)
This order instructs Attorney General Jeff Sessions to develop strategies for the Department of Justice to use existing federal laws or recommend new legislation to prosecute individuals who commit crimes against law enforcement officials.

22. Creating a task force to reduce crime (February 9)
This executive order instructs Sessions to establish a task force to discuss crime reduction ideas, identify “deficiencies” in current laws and evaluate the availability of crime-related data.

23. Combatting transnational criminal organizations (February 9)
This order aims to increase communication and coordination among different agencies relating to international criminal organization and create a strategy to disrupt these organizations. It also directs the Threat Mitigation Working Group to submit a report to the president within 120 days on transnational criminal organizations.

Unity Through Solutions Speaks Out about America’s Homeless

Unity Through Solution Speaks Out about   America’s Homeless
The homeless are with us  and while they can be found anywhere, the fact the demoncratic party is more concerned with importing Muslim terrorists into our midst than dealing with existing issues, this writer feels the time to address our folks here at home may finally be at hand.  16265894_794618967343661_3782996500269412365_n
The children whose families are typically unemployed or underemployed poor seem to be the worst victims and vulnerable to the inaction of our self-serving political establishment.  That is, until politicians figure out how to capitalize off of prioritizing the working poor and these innocents born into an impossible circumstance.
As of today, less than two weeks into his term, President Trump is addressing the campaign promises he made to conservative and evangelical voters who gave him his job so we are going to give him some time to address the underemployed in our nation.
Whether or not he chooses to look at our children and their plight remains to be seen but let’s assume once he has gotten his elitist globalist puppets in place, his attention will return to making money and increasing his legacy as a businessman and as a president.
Unity Through Solutions is willing to bet that small businesses and working poor need to pull together to mobilize and place solutions forward through the grass roots whereby forcing the politicians who will otherwise just provide lip service with no results, “We the People” will create the changes necessary in right siding our economy and the plight of our working class.
The banks will not be helpful.  The lawyers and courts will continue to exploit everyone using the “law” to extort wealth from everyone.  The politicians will only address legislative actions that benefit their PACs with unlimited contributions.  “We the People” will fix the problems of the country then send the crooked lawyers and politicians to the sidelines to join the demoncratic party and the bankers, well, we just have to eliminate debt burdens from our families and businesses which will reinvigorate community banks at the expense of to big to fail.  16265894_794618967343661_3782996500269412365_n
America’s homeless should do anything they can to pull themselves up and it is our duty to offer them that hand with that fish hook whereby they can feed themselves and shelter their children.

Mainstream Media Promotes Civil Unrest

MainStream Media Promotes Civil Unrest
Unity Through Solutions asserts that any practical and pragmatic thinking person recognizes the malicious actions of primarily young and left-leaning misfits when the anger of these people can be so manipulated by talking heads on a television screen.
We have to wonder why would a bunch of former lawyers turned talking heads promote the divisive and false narratives of social unrest if not for the reality that it creates viewers to their cable network stations so they can sell more advertising paid for by we who buy these advertisers products.  media-promotes-unrestThe biased media is nothing but an advertising sales platform for fools to waste precious time staring at televison screens listening to their stupidity.  Turn off your televisions sets and do something productive like learning about our Constitution and the systemic takeover of a nation by lawyers and self-serving politicians.
  • Go to the alternative media outlets who are distilling the facts into real news and read how you can actually benefit if you participate.
  • Reject the major media outlets at CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX who have become Jerry Springer TMZ clones…….
  • Do something productive like learning how our courts were highjacked along with our Constitution by self-serving, greedy and civil destruction architects within the banking and legal industries.
Ever wonder why lawyers and bankers always win and “We the People” lose as business men plug onward to create jobs and build a better future for everyone involved in spite of the criminal enterprise we call our legal system?  Lawyers and talking heads on television have dumbed us down to a level consistent with the level of their moral turpitude, therefore, we are stupid and they are rich because we let them steal our wealth and our freedom.  Learn about these matters and stop wasting your time watching the mainstream media.  Research the term Common Law Grand Jury instead of wasting your time on the media. We have a repository of research available to those serious about the restoration of America. Healthcare Affordability

Healthcare Affordability

Unity Through Solutions is concerned that the replacement to Obama-care through a pending republican health plan is not being viewed properly by anyone in Washington.  The apparent rift between politicians on each side of the isle is over net tax impacts to the rich and availability to the rest of America, two distinctly separate motivated groups.  The rich want tax deductions and deferral plans with zero impact their accustomed standard of life or disposable income while the rest of America just wants to survive while striving for some peace in their lives.  Neither constituent can win this fight representing just a few dollars to the rich but a huge part of everyone else’s income by using health care as the pawn, however, there is a solution that accomplishes both constituents their desired outcome as a relatively simple plan removing the political class’s control over other people’s lives.  fleecing_still-300wIf healthcare were again affordable and physicians could treat their patients without this 400% excessive cost burden on the country from legal malpractice by unscrupulous lawyers and unnecessary debt of the sector due to the unscrupulous bankers, everyone would be better off.  Screw the lawyers and screw the bankers and let’s get the 99%ers back on track.  The fight is not about the American people, it’s about the rich lawyers vs the rest of the country therefore until we retake control of our country from the BAR monopoly, everyone loses.  Regulate the legal industry then force them from office through term limits so We the People can become strong again.  Its the lawyers fleecing everyone that has created this nightmare on Main Street.

Brian Williams admits creating Fake News

By Rachel Brody | Associate Editor Feb. 5, 2015, at 2:40 p.m.

The three examples below are easily verified . How ironic that this week Brian Williams and Hillary Clinton are leading the charge against Fake News.

NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams was forced to publicly apologize for repeatedly lying about a 2003 trip to Iraq, in which he claimed to have been aboard a helicopter that was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. “I was instead in the following aircraft,” Williams said on NBC Wednesday night. “This was a bungled attempt by me to thank one special veteran, and by extension, our brave military men, and women.”
Crew members on the helicopter that actually suffered the hit 12 years ago discredited Williams’ lie, which the news anchor told most recently while covering a military tribute at a New York Rangers game on Friday. Speaking to Stars and Stripes, crew members saidWilliams was actually about an hour behind the three-helicopter formation that came under fire. “It was something personal for us that was kind of life-changing for me. I know how lucky I was to survive it,” said Lance Reynolds, the flight engineer whose aircraft was hit by two RPGs. “It felt like a personal experience that someone else wanted to participate in and didn’t deserve to participate in.”

David Zurawik at the Baltimore Sun called the situation “a nightmare” for NBC. “How could you expect anyone who served in the military to ever see this guy on screen again and not feel contempt?” he wrote. “How could you expect anyone to believe he or the broadcast he leads has any credibility?”
With his reputation, not to mention his job, at stake, why lie in the first place? Easy, saidJohn Hinderaker at Powerline: “Williams used the story to burnish his credentials as a reporter; as a war correspondent; as a man.” But Hinderaker went further, saying Williams’ lie grew out of “liberal guilt.” He reasoned that “Williams’s emotional need to portray himself (in his own mind, not just to outsiders) as someone who braved dangers, was shot at and nearly killed, was part of how he assuaged the guilt that came packaged with the hundreds of millions of dollars he has earned for doing, really, not much.”

Hillary Clinton Makes “Fake News”

updated 7:59 p.m. EDT, Tue March 25, 2008

(CNN) — Sen. Hillary Clinton said she “misspoke” last week when she gave a dramatic description of her arrival in Bosnia 12 years ago, recounting a landing under sniper fire.

Clinton was responding to a question Monday from the Philadelphia Daily News’ editorial board about video footage of the event that contradicted her assertion that her group “ran with our heads down” from the plane to avoid sniper fire at the Tuzla Air Base.

Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for rival Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign, said the Bosnia claim was part of “a growing list of instances in which Sen. Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking.”

Clinton told the paper’s editorial board it was a “minor blip.”  Watch how Clinton described her trip »

“I say a lot of things — millions of words a day — so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement,” she said.

In a radio interview that aired Tuesday, Clinton said she wasn’t worried about the incident hurting her credibility.

Al Sharpton creates “FakeNews”

Updated 4:29 PM ET, Wed November 19, 2014

(CNN)Civil rights leader Al Sharpton sharply denounced an extensive New York Times report that he and his companies are subject to $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens.

The MSNBC host said in a press conference Wednesday that the $4.5 million was the original figure he was ordered to pay back in 2008, but that he has been making regular payments since then and the amount is now less.
Sharpton did not give the outstanding balance owed by him and his for-profit companies –Raw Talent and Revals Communications.
Rather, he focused his remarks on how much money his nonprofit group, the National Action Network, has paid back. The liens against that organization, however, were not lumped into the $4.5 million figure reported by the Times.

Sharpton: It's time to deal with policing

Sharpton: It’s time to deal with policing 02:45
The Times reported that Sharpton is still liable for personal federal tax liens of more than $3 million, and state tax liens of $777,657. The companies owe another $717,329 on state and federal tax liens.
But Sharpton argued that it wasn’t possible that he still owed $4.5 million.
“If we owed $4.5 million in ’08 then how could we owe this now, unless you’re saying that everybody just went to sleep on this and just gave us a pass, which is ridiculous,” he said.

Electors Plot to Deny Trump

Paul Watson reports

There is a small group of people in the world who believe they do not have any obligation to do what they were appointed to do. Citing any number of reasons they feel they have a moral high ground to deny reality and script their own narrative. For reasons unknown we have 15 electors who intend to not caste their vote as their state required.  Stay Tuned  we will, update with more very soon. Unity Through Solutions thinks this is morally repugnant .

Global Warming and the EPA

The EPA does serve a great and useful service to the American people and talk of abolishment does not serve us well.  Let’s remember that our environment is a most critical, precious and fragile element of our society that once contaminated or irreversibly ruined, cannot be simply “cleaned up” overnight.  The harmful effects of contaminated ground water for drinking, irrigation and stabilizing geological structures throw our society into chaos.  A watchdog agency with teeth to ensure we do not irreversibly ruin our natural resources is critical to our very survival, now, that being said, our liberal leaders of the last 30 years have politicalized and effectively compromised their creditability.
Accordingly, we must insist and then force that the politicization of environmental protections be stopped.  One idea is to restrict any politician or lawyer from making money from any environmental program, cause, or action related to environmental outcomes.  The fact that Al Gore made Global Warming the compromised political hot potato it has become is representative of the manner that corruption by government employees while in public service allows them to create programs and bills that allow them to monetize outcomes for themselves.
The solution is to eliminate “public servants” and their lawyers from capitalizing for themselves, story lines and programs that falsify information to the American people.  As we know methods of war can include environmental crisis created by self-serving politicians, therefore any politicians and their lawyers making one dollar from business interests or false flags related to environmental causes should be prosecuted for treason.  Of course, this step would force lawyers to only include facts in their pleadings, filings, and bills which are beyond their moral compass but none the less necessary for restoring integrity within our system.

The New Secretary of Defense Maddog

As reported here  in total

President-elect Donald Trump has chosen retired Marine Gen. James Mattis to head the Department of Defense, a move that could signal the incoming administration’s tougher positioning with nations such as Iran.

Trump made a surprise announcement of the expected appointment during a rally in Cincinnati on Thursday night, as the crowd cheered wildly.

“We are going to appoint Mad Dog Mattis as our secretary of defense,” Trump said theatrically.

He then added: “But we’re not announcing it ’til Monday, so don’t tell anyone — Mad Dog. He’s great. He is great.”

James Mattis

Tom Price New HHS Secretary PowerHouse

Tom Price New HHS secretary

as reported in NYTimes

WASHINGTON — In choosing Representative Tom Price of Georgia to be his health secretary, President-elect Donald J. Trump has signaled an undiminished determination to repeal President Obama’s signature domestic achievement, the Affordable Care Act, and replace it with a health law that would be far less comprehensive.

And Mr. Trump is handing Republicans and their base voters what they have clamored for since the Affordable Care Act became law in 2010 — a powerful force to reverse course.

Republicans were pleased.

“I can tell you where we’re going to start: with a process to repeal and replace Obamacare,” Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader, said Tuesday.

Mr. Price, an orthopedic surgeon from Atlanta’s affluent northern suburbs, was one of the first lawmakers to draft a full replacement for the Affordable Care Act. His proposal would take health care in a fundamentally different direction, away from mandated coverage and care and toward a free-market approach, with fewer consumer protections and more freedoms for doctors.
